I finally made it to my mat today. Yes — I’d fallen out of practice, and I was called back. We all do this. The key isn’t to never stray, it’s to answer the call when it comes.


And today? The mat spoke.

For the first time in over a week, I made it back to my body — whew. Back to self.

Let me reintroduce myself, for lack of a better phrase. Here’s what they — my mat and my body — revealed:


Lately, I’ve been lounging in Yin energy. Soft. Flowing. Intuitive. But today, Yang made an appearance. Shiva energy. And it neededĀ to. I realized I’d grown too comfortable, maybe even complacent. This practice — this fiery return — became an honoring ritual for the 2nd to last day of Sun in Aries. A Sun Salutation that literally reignited my inner fire.


And now, as we transition into grounded, earthy Taurus energy, I could feel the call to settle into routine again — felt deeply as I stood in TadasanaĀ at the top of my mat.


Balance also became a theme — loud and clear. As I moved from Warrior IIIĀ into Tree Pose, wobbling, barely holding on, I saw the mirror. Life right now is asking for balance. With all the shifts: family, work, transitions, life changes — my body whispered: return to breath, return to self.


And then came Shavasana.

Stillness. Silence. Spirit.

The message was clear:

ā€œThis is all unfolding under the Waning Gibbous Moon in Capricorn — the cycle of gratitude, reflection, and sharing the wisdom of obstacles overcome.ā€

Total alignment. The Divine doesn’t miss a beat, baby.


This moon phase promotes introspection and steady focus on long-term goals. It reminds me to not just reflect on how far I’ve come, but to ask:

🌿 Where am I going?

🌿 What is required of me to move forward?


Here’s the conscious answer I’m sitting with today:

✨ Making sacred time for my priorities.

✨ Giving breath to my anxieties and trusting that the Divine is always working on my behalf.

✨ Moving with purpose — using this producing energy to build the life my mind, body, and spirit are ready for.

✨ Expressing gratitude for every lesson, every blessing, and sharing what I’ve learned to support others on their path.


Thank you, Yoga Mat.

Thank you, Divine.

Thank you, Breath.
